Production steps:
- Preparation in mine: cutting big pieces of stone from the mountain under the name of the raw stone (Cope)
- Carrying to the stonecutting factories, discharge by large gate cranes and finally rocks depot in factory
- Rudimentary cut: raw stone is cut by saw or a peak cutter into the laminate (plate).
- Polishing: cut rocks are polished by automatic sub machine or manual subtype device.
- The final cut: Rocks are cut to required sizes and will be sent to the customer after the classification according to the customer's request.
It should be mentioned that in the stone production may be the following sub-sectors also exist:
- Priming: for priming process, in stones like travertine and marble white cement putty and Mel powder is used.
- Adhesives work: varying combinations of resin are used.
- Tools-strike: to change the form of stone edges or stone arrangement, tools-strike is used by creating such cuts in different shapes on it.
Consumed materials:
Diamond segment: Today, for stone cutting, small pieces of metal grains that are combined with fine diamonds that are called "diamond segment" are used.
- Polish donors: For polishing stone specific abrasives are used for this work which are of two types, regular and combination. In in the regular type, combination of cement with hard metal oxides and in the mixed type, resins containing abrasive material are used. The usual type of cement mixing metal oxides with a combination of hard and kind of resin containing abrasive materials are used.
- Water: to prevent severe temperature increases during cutting and polishing of stone, water in large quantities in different parts of stone cutting is used.
